Real Small Art posted by A.H. Plante

A message from the artist:

Over the past month, I created 30 tiny paintings (3"x3" acrylic on wood panel) and just delivered them to the activities director at St. Mary's Woods assisted living home in the West End as part of the Real Small Art pro-bono/community project. This assisted living location was selected at random from the phone book, and needless to say, they were surprised and excited about this fun/free idea! They plan to hide the paintings in plain site around the facility for the residents to discover.

There is a tiny "Take Me!" note on the side of each panel, and a note on the back that reads: "Finders keepers! (Artist: A.H.Plante, Goochland VA, 2009. Make it, love it, give it away.) c/o Real Small Art League, Richmond VA -- Inspiring random acts of artistic kindness & creative awareness. Please go to to help us track the project."

The residents should start finding these little guys in the next few days, so stay tuned. The director plans to e-mail feedback after all paintings have been found over the next few weeks.

This was fun!
Take care,
